When it was all together body wise, I started working on door and window mechanisms. And Greg primered it in the hateful "yellow iron". The truck sat for a long time again waiting for funds and free time to put on the final color. I began working on the bed parts at my house and would bring parts over to be included in the final shooting.

The date on the camera that took that picture above was all screwed up.
I didn't get any pictures for a long time but we painted the cab in May of 1998. I brought  it home to my garage and began the restoration of the engine compartment and interior. I began spending real money on it again and had $100 a month budget I was trying to keep. I rewired the entire truck, rebuilt the carburetor, the Voltage regulator, the distributor, I had to get a new fuel pump, and replaced the fuel lines. After a few false starts it was running again, and purred like a kitten. Of course I had to replace the exhaust system as well.

I had the seat reupholstered by Kathleen's Upholstery in Rosedale.  She is excellent. She does a lot of boat work and home furniture as well.  When I saw the job she did on the seat I had her make up some door pads  of the same material. Its the only thing on the truck that isn't stock. but they look great. She was able to fabricate them for me from a verbal description. She still hasn't seen the truck.
